My first post eekkk!

Hi guys! Well this is my first blog post! I have not blogged in years so we will see if I still have it in me. My main goal for this blog is to have an outlet to unleash my inner beauty junkie! Let me introduce myself and allow you get to know me a little bit better.

I first started in 2010 as a Managing Esthetician. I worked at a salon that taught me a great deal and was an amazing stepping stone for the place I am in now. I have always had a love of makeup but when I was in school I realized I loved ever aspect of the beauty industry and knew that I wanted to be able to help others feel beautiful and comfortable in their own skin.  Its very important to educate my clients on they’re skin and what products they should be using.  I now am Owner and Skin Specialist/Makeup Artist at “Kayla at Studio Elements” I have always loved this beauty industry and feel that it is so diverse that you really can go into any aspect of this business and make it something incredible. Its funny because most people either have no idea what an Esthetician (Skin Specialist) is or assume that all I do is “wash peoples face” I really have heard that from someone! For me it is so much more than “washing peoples faces” It is knowing the characteristics of the skin. The skin is the largest organ of the body, something that is so incredibly intricate and different for every single person. To know the formulas and the best chemicals to use on the skin is seriously hard work BUT it is so enjoyable for me because my clients feel amazing and at the end of the day it is so worth the crazy hours and non stop work. I feel as women we should have an outlet to express ourselves. For me, I love makeup and skin. I will do a mad crazy chemical peel to your face but I then will educate you as to why we are doing those and how they will help. I feel so many times I see places throwing these crazy chemicals on the clients face without really educating them as to why they have just bought 6 treatments. With this blog my goal is to be a place where I am able to educate people on the importance of skin care and the how to’s of  makeup. I will be doing reviews on the different makeup and skin care products as well as tutorials.
